Evidence-based
Executive Coaching
Wherever you go, your psychology goes with you.
The question is… is your psychology expanding or contracting what’s possible?
How you show up and experience each moment—from critical meetings, difficult conversations, moments of uncertainty, and every high-stakes dilemma—is shaped by your level of psychological agility.
By focusing on the emotional and psychological drivers that shape wellbeing, choices, and performance, I help leaders, teams, and organizations build the psychological agility required to perform at their best.
With over two decades of experience across corporate, tech, entertainment and policy initiatives, I draw on a blend of behavioral science, neuroscience, and positive psychology coaching to turn psychological awareness into competitive advantage.
“In a single coaching session, Dr. West helped me shift my perspective and reframe challenges that seemed intractable. The impact of the session was immediate. I left with more clarity, momentum, and internal degrees of freedom than I knew were possible.”

You’re good at deciding.
Let’s make you great at choosing.
People naturally excel at weighing options and predicting outcomes. But deciding based on what exists only gets you so far. You miss opportunities, play smaller and safer than is helpful, or worse, you create what you don’t want, instead of what you do.
When you can choose—intentionally, flexibly, and creatively—you automatically upgrade your software. You go from reacting to what exists to creating what you want, so you can play your way to being the best version of yourself.
To drive meaningful change and intentional impact, you need to see past what feels familiar and safe. To imagine what doesn’t yet exist. And to create it.
This is what I call Choicefulness.
It’s the stuff of wellbeing, prosocial evolution, and elite performance.

As a psychologist and coach, I bring a niche blend of doctoral-level training and real world experience. I have expertise working with the emotional and psychological drivers that shape wellbeing, behavior, decision-making, and performance—especially under pressure. This means I can identify what’s actually getting in the way, surface what isn’t being said, and activate core processes that create sustainable change rather than just managing what’s happening on the surface.
I also bring over two decades of real-world experience across corporate, creative, tech and policy environments, combining rigorous psychological training with practical application in complex, high-stakes contexts. And I have the expertise to support clients navigating both performance challenges and mental health concerns—something many coaches and consultants aren’t ethically able or trained to address.

Coaching is a collaborative process where I help you clarify goals and values, develop skills, and build the psychological agility needed to reach them. In addition to being a thought partner, I also conduct strategic inquiry, disrupt unhelpful patterns, and design behavioral experiments to help you execute action that moves you in the direction of what matters to you.
Consulting involves expert analysis, strategic guidance and solutions. I assess your organizational challenges and provide specific recommendations and interventions based on best practices grounded in behavioral science.

I work with clients in both capacities. Some organizations bring me in for one-time assessments, strategic consultations, or targeted training programs. Others prefer ongoing coaching or consulting relationships. In some cases I am retained as “in-house” counsel for matters related to wellbeing, culture and performance. We’ll discuss what makes the most sense for your situation during our initial consultation.
-
Individual executive coaching engagements can be as short as 3 months or ongoing, as is helpful and depending on your goals. Team coaching and organizational consulting timelines vary based on the scope of work. During our initial conversation, I’ll provide a recommended timeline based on what you're looking to achieve.

Assessments are tailored to your specific goals and may include psychological self-report measures, 360-degree leadership or manager feedback, structured interviews, and customized organizational surveys. The goal of assessment is to establish clear baselines and identify specific areas for development. I’ll work with you to determine the best approach to provide the most useful data for your areas of growth or concern.
